Day 5 October 21 | Design Week Lagos Opens

Begin inside Lagos' world of fashion and design before stepping into the official opening of Design Week Lagos.

Join The Gathered Tour at Akóko Lagos, an independent concept store spotlighting contemporary African fashion and design. Explore the space, discover the designers and pieces it brings together, and enjoy time to shop before we settle in for lunch nearby.

From there, continue to the National Theatre for the IDEA Honours and VIP Opening Ceremony of Design Week Lagos 2026, joining designers, collectors, creatives and cultural leaders as the week officially begins. Then step inside Made by Design for a private preview before it opens more broadly.
